Melissa Burns
Psychologist Perth

Melissa Burns is a Psychologist with experience across education, disability, private practice, FIFO and Employee Assistance Programs. She holds qualifications in general psychology, as well as education and developmental psychology.

Melissa works with; First Responders, adults, couples, FIFO, parents, and adolescents. Her areas of expertise include; trauma, workplace stress, adjustment issues, sleep disruption, and interpersonal conflict. Melissa works with people experiencing symptoms of PTSD, Addiction, Mood disorders and Neurodivergence. She has a particular interest in supporting families with parenting challenges and working with adolescents.

Role at Ashcliffe

At Ashcliffe Psychology, Melissa provides therapy to individuals and families, guided by the resilience framework. She also facilitates in the AACE Metrix Program, an intensive outpatient treatment for addiction.

When she’s not with clients, Melissa is with her family—sharing food, stories, and laughter. She enjoys travelling, learning about new cultures, and finding inspiration in everyday moments. Her curiosity drives her, and she brings the same energy and openness to the people she works with.
