Employee Fitness for Work Assessments

Ashcliffe Psychology provides Fitness for Work (FFW) assessments to address concerns about an employee's psychological health and their capacity to perform their duties safely and effectively.

These assessments are appropriate when there is an objective and reasonable basis for believing an employee may be unable to perform their role due to a psychological condition or mental health impairment. A referral may be initiated following a prolonged absence, illness, family trauma, injury, or a serious safety breach.

A FFW assessment is also utilised when an employer requires confirmation that an employee is psychologically fit to return to work, extending beyond a standard medical practitioner's opinion.

The Assessment Process

Our assessments are conducted by registered psychologists to provide a detailed and objective evaluation. The process is designed to determine an individual's psychological fitness in direct relation to their specific work duties and environment.

We provide organisations with a detailed outline of what a Fitness for Work assessment entails and clear guidance on how to make a referral.
