Scott Alfonso
Counsellor Perth

Scott is a qualified counsellor with a Master’s degree in Counselling and a deep passion for holistic, client-centred mental health care. With a unique background as a yoga teacher and more than 20 years in the culinary industry, he brings a grounded, relatable, and insightful approach to his therapeutic work.

Scott supports both individuals and couples in improving their mental wellbeing and strengthening their relationships. He also has experience working with people living with disabilities and those navigating complex life transitions or challenges.

His areas of focus include stress reduction, relationship difficulties, workplace conflict, and addiction recovery. Scott is trained in Schema Therapy, which enables clients to identify and transform long-standing behavioural patterns. He has also completed training in Psychedelic Integration Therapies, offering an innovative, evidence-informed perspective on healing and integration.

Scott’s integrative approach blends practical tools with deeper psychological insight. He works collaboratively with clients to foster self-awareness, build resilience, and support meaningful, lasting personal growth.

Role at Ashcliffe

At Ashcliffe Psychology, Scott provides counselling for individuals, couples, and families. He also facilitates the Metrix Addiction Treatment Program, where he supports individuals, couples, and families impacted by substance use.

When Scott’s not working…

Outside of counselling, Scott continues to share his passion for yoga and meditation, with more than five years of teaching experience.  He is also a keen practitioner of jiu jitsu.
